MCS Foundation selected entities focused in improving the health of the elderly in the island
In response to an open letter published in February 2019, the MCS Foundation received more than 100 proposals. Of these, it selected around 25, with all of them focused on addressing the social determinants that impact the health of the elderly in Puerto Rico. Of the funds raised for the Puerto Rico. Millions of Reasons to BELIEVE campaign, we allocated $1 million to fund and create awareness for the critical issues surrounding the health of the elderly in Puerto Rico under the slogan: BELIEVE in Our Seniors. Among the selected entities, a special prize of up to $100,000 will be awarded for those projects that have the greatest impact, innovation and sustainability, among other factors.
