Gilberto is the secretary of our Board of Directors since 2020. In this capacity, he manages the Foundation’s corporate governance and advice us on legal matters, conflicts of interest, and legal risk management, among others.
In addition to his role in the Foundation, he serves as corporate governance director at MCS Healthcare Holdings, LLC (“MCS”) and is the assistant secretary of its board of directors. There, he assists MCS and its affiliated companies with their respective corporate governance responsibilities, in addition to providing legal advice on multiple corporate, regulatory, insurance, compliance and trademark matters, among others. He has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare insurance industry, more than fifteen of them as a lawyer.
Gilberto holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Puerto Rico; a master's degree in industrial management from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico; and a juris doctor from the University of Puerto Rico.
