Alliances

Consistent with our vision of being the leader in responsibility and philanthropy while supporting the health of the communities we serve; we engage in efforts to lead by example and encourage others to join our efforts or pursue their own philanthropic endeavors. We extend the impact of our financial contributions by engaging in other ways with supported entities, inspiring our sponsors and others to join us by offering their time, financial support and other types of assistance depending on the initiative.

We are expanding our relationships inside and outside our primary geographic area, with other foundations as well as those in the private sector, so please contact us if you would like to partner with us.

Below are some of our significant alliances and partnerships.

MCS Healthcare Holdings, LLC. (MCS)

From our inception, MCS has been our most significant financial supporter, having extended its already generous annual giving by issuing a matching challenge in the aftermath of hurricane devastation in 2017, allowing us to reach $1.5 million for our Green for Puerto Rico campaign. MCS renewed its challenge in 2018 as we launched our “PUERTO RICO. A million Reasons to BELIEVE” campaign.

However, MCS’s provision for the projects and entities we support and for the community overall extend well beyond the direct financial contribution it provides. The funding we offer to the entities we assist is extended through the support of MCS community service program, leadership and participation in entities’ boards of trustees and, often, in-kind donations from MCS, its providers and business partners. Because of MCS’ commitment, the funding an entity receives is a small part of the total impact we can make in our community.
